The Heart & Scroll Public Library

The library is built on a platform with seven steps. Each labeled with a heavenly virtue. It is a large marble building with two columns on either side of the entrance. Each column is decorated in reliefs depicting the myth of Noctis & the Merchants. The raised carvings are darkened by the memory of a fire.

Opposite the entrance is a thirty foot tall statue of Noctis with her hands extended. In one hand there is a scroll, and the other hand a solid gold human heart. The statue itself is made of marble and robed in a toga made of volcanic rock. The interior is dome recounts the tale of wisdom and greed in a brightly colored frieze.

The wide, cavernous room is easily a hundred feet across and forty feet high. 9 foot tall bookcases line the bottom level filled with codex’s and scrolls. Each bookcase is separated by a fountain expelling clean water, and with a tube that emits warm pleasant air. A catwalk extends from either side of the Noctis statue, above every bookcase is another bookcase. Above every fountain is a window with a statue of a god standing in its window. Eight tables are spread evenly out across the floor. A man, balding, garbed in a black toga with silver trime and a white tunic moves between the tables speaking to the various people working there. The bracelet on his arm marks him as a priest of Noctis.
